Common Sense Economics is competely aware of the unfair treatment blacks get during encounters with law enforcement. That being said, the Brown case appears to be the wrong circumstance from which to launch protests and engage in civil disobedience. Unfortunately, there will be many more incidents where police get out of line. Hopefully the credibility of black protesters will not be lost after making an issue of a case where the cop actually did need to use a gun.
There is only one danger to black teenagers which is greater than being killed by the police. Black teenagers are a far bigger danger to each other.
It is pointed out in the article below that 244 teenagers have been killed in Chicago since Michael Brown was killed.
