Citigroup, Inc. (C) reported earnings today that are better than expected. The stock has price is still very depressed. I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole and neither would most investors. Why? Citigroup gets what amount to interest free money to loan out. Who couldn’t make a profit if they could borrow money at 0%? For years the financial sector has received gift after gift from the government. This arrangement won’t last much longer and investors know it.
