Back in 1968 in mid season, the University of Texas introduced the wishbone offense. College football defenses were initially blindsided. Soon colleges all over were using the wishbone. In a short time coaches found techniques to neutralize the wishbone and force mistakes. Now, I am not sure the Wishbone is used at all.
It appears high frequency trading firms are now in a stage like the wishbone offence was in when defensive coaches were discovering way to defend against it.
