Power Makes Some Delusional

In 2008 governments around the world convinced their citizens that bailouts had saved the world from an economic calamity. Conservatives bought the story along with liberals. What actually happened is that financial losses were transferred from private risk takers to taxpayers. Americans everywhere are happy with the result. Throughout history the masses have always suffered willingly for the mishaps of their perceived betters. Nothing has been learned over the years.
With docile, pliable aggregations around the globe, elitists leaders may have finally reached their subjects limits of gullibility with what the European Union is attempting to do with respect to banks in Cypress. When leaders steal from taxpayers for many decades without getting any resistance they start thinking of rank and file people as statues. Even herd animals will react when leaders penetrate their very deep limits. I wonder if the European Union elite really think anyone is going to leave deposits in the banks of Cypress. Power corrupts, no doubt but it also makes some delusional.
