The Holy Bible and its Best Uses

Here are some traditional uses of the Bible.

  1. Thump on the Bible when speaking hoping that will make people believe you.
    1. Display the Bible in your home so that visitors will think they are in a righteous home.
    1. Carry your Bible to a candlelight vigil so that folks will observe that you are unusually moved.

If you are in Congress, take a Bible to the prayer  breakfast and hope you are photographed holding it.

Organize a religion based on a few lines like John 3:16. Then collect tithes and build a bureaucracy.

Lay one on the counter of your business so that customers will perceive you as fair and honest.

Give a Bible as a gift

Record births and deaths on the blank pages.

Take a few sentence from the Bible to declare something as right or wrong.

Read the Bible thoroughly and discover  that all of its stories are models of natural law. Find stories that parallel ongoing issues in the modern world.  Use this wisdom to know that the modern issues will be resolved the same way the parallel issues  in the bible were resolved. *

Use scriptures in the Bible to motivate others to join you in going to war.

Carry a Bible to a pro-life rally.

The Bible has countless uses and these are only a few. Which is the best version? It doesn’t matter unless you actually  plan on reading it.

This is not a traditional use but the stories, which are models of natural law are flawless and completely useful in everyday life, even to those who don’t believe in God.
