The following is a clip from an AI search.
“Socialist perspectives on AI emphasize collective ownership and democratic control over AI technologies, arguing that AI, particularly large language models (LLMs), are built upon data generated by the public and therefore should not be privately owned.” iAsk
Not a bad idea, but, that is not possible. Why? We already have a socialist economy, albeit one where the wealthy get most of the benefits. The U.S. economy is routinely called capitalist. It is Fascist. Fascism does constitute socialism.
In socialism, who gets what out of government is determined by who has the most political power. That , is the obscenely wealthy. That is also true with classical socialism. Only the rich will have access to AI’s full potential. Therefore it will be used to manage the thoughts and opinions of rank and file citizens, so as to increase the income of those who are already wealthy.
Wealth and power is never relinquished voluntarily. Although there is no such thing as an incentive to serve, it is universally assumed that there is.
The Imaginary Incentive to Serve
There is no way that classic socialism will emerge as a result of AI.
