Our government in the United States is operating without the consent of the governed. Isn’t it a little absurd for the Secretary of State of the U.S. to be calling for democracy in Syria?

Last spring when I was teaching government each day we would watch clips of uprisings in the Mideast. Then we would check all available resources in an attempt to find out what the Rebels wanted. We never found out but we couldn’t conclude they were interested in democracy.
