What do gun owners have in common with union people? Unions are in decline because they provide no overall economic benefit. The economy is more efficient without them. Companies economize by finding ways to eliminate them. Do guns contribute enough good to society to outweigh any harm they do? There was a time when guns actually put food on the table, not out of sport but out of necessity. In order for gun rights to remain intact, the costs will have to outweigh the benefits.
