There is only one guarantee. Central banks including our Federal Reserve will buy like mad men to stabilize world markets. The news of the incident will be minimized and marginalized by the U. S. media. Will the intervention work? It probably will, but eventually this type of intervention will start drawing in more supply and the efforts will be futile.
