When Democrats suggest taxing the rich, they would help their case by pointing out that the rich are the only class that benefits from big government. A case in point is government’s asset enhancement initiative which all but guarantees stock market profits. If government were to write checks for the same amount to the poor, the Republicans would have a cow.
