Some may have noticed that the new unemployment report didn’t turn out so good. Why can’t Americans find jobs? Why are so may dropping out of the labor market? These questions have answers but the only economist who will give the correct answers is James Quillian, a.k.a Curbside Jimmy. That is because of the basic problem common to all of the social sciences. Since the answers are unpleasant, the answers are assumed to be something else.
Here is the truth. Americans can’t find jobs because they are overpaid. American labor is not what workers expect to receive. Americans leave the labor market because they can be comfortable without working.
