Are American’s freedom lovers? Not in the slightest way. Americans are king seekers, just as were the Israelites in chapter 8 of the 1st Book of Samuel. Liberty is a burden to the masses and they will trade it eagerly for the perception of comfort and certainty. When American troops fight abroad, it is always with the stated purpose of giving liberty to an oppressed population. The foreign populations always reject freedom. Americans always pat themselves on the back for spreading freedom around the globe and all the time they are giving up their own freedom at home. It is human nature to seek a master.
