What is wrong in government? What is wrong in the economy? Let the experts reason these things out and give us a solution. Do things work like that? Not in the slightest. When decisions are made collectively, reasoning is not used. People act according to what they are instinctively driven to do. Everyone has the potential to think and act individually; overriding instinctive impulses but that path is not followed often enough to matter. Instinctively, government is treated as a parent. Representatives take on the role of parents. When times get tough, expect government to get bigger.
