The Healthcare Solution

The Affordable Health Care Act is a skimming operation similar in structure to what the mob used to profit from docks, bakery, unions and building industries during the 70s. Crime has no downside to criminals who learn to legalize activities through control of government.

Having government pay for healthcare is not complicated. Americans insist that government pay for health care. Like all economics issues. the best way to pay for healthcare in a system where all parties reject the free market concept, can be explained in a sentence or two.

Do not mistake Medicare for healthcare. It is not. It is insurance. Medicare is insurance for all. Insurance for all reduces physicians incentives to care for patients. With insurance for all, your doctor has more of a rent seeking incentive than anything else.

Government paying for healthcare looks like this. Every citizen gets a plastic health care card that gets scanned by doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and all other providers anytime a patient pays. The card works like a credit card.

After the card is swiped, the doctor is paid. If the patient is a billionaire, he pays the entire charge. If he is without resources, the patient pays nothing. Most Americans pay part to all of the bill. The provider does not know who pays none, all, or some of the bill. That way there is some free market competition. With some free market competition healthcare prices will come down.

With this type of system the cost of paying the bill will be less than the premiums patients pay for insurance. This is the best system to use in a country where citizens reject free market principles in medicine.

With mandatory insurance, patients are paying for healthcare. With the system just described, patients will pay considerably less.

Legislation is what makes healthcare expensive. All legislation is for profit. Countless non producers have legislated their way into the healthcare business. The legislation benefits all who have the political power to get the bills passed. All others pay many times what they would pay without the legislation.

When was the last time an elected representative wrote a bill at the request of his constituents? Has such a bill ever been written? I can’t think of one. Certainly there has been at least one case over the years.

Legislation is written to serve as a means for a select few to make a profit. Healthcare laws benefit those who pay lobbyists to write the laws, and then pay again to have the bills passed.

The healthcare system I described would actually reduce the incomes of the parties who pay to have healthcare laws passed. That is why simple concepts are never used.
