Why Is Our Health Care System So Bad?

Download PDF Version

That is very simple to answer. Any healthcare law that is based on a 1000+ page bill is filled with elaborate skimming operation placed there by the parties who lobby to get the bill passed. The Affordable Care Act is a huge collection of skimming operations that do nothing but impoverish American citizens.

When a bill like this hits congress, it is important to understand why the bill is there and who lobbied to get it passed. It wasn’t ordinary citizens. Finding out who actually wrote the bill is almost impossible. What it is is a feeding frenzy on federal money and all the benefits go to the top. Lifespans of Americans started declining as soon as the law was fully in effect. That is no surprise.

Where did Americans get the idea that owning health insurance constitutes having healthcare? Is it reasonable that government provide health care? It is reasonable if the majority of citizens deem it to be a good thing. It is a good thing to have a safety net for sure. Doing that does not mean the end of the free market system any more than having a fire department does.

Who complains about ever rising costs of fire departments? Surely someone does, but I haven’t found one. The difference is that government just pays for a fire department without requiring everyone to buy fire prevention insurance.

Government can pay for healthcare the same way. But, who is interested in that? Opinion is that we must allow the insurance industry and everyone else with massive political power to participate in the enormous economic feeding frenzy that ensues.

Our healthcare system is bad because citizens are willing to have it the way it is. I have personally cited an unbelievably efficient system that eliminates that eliminates the mush and corporate feeding frenzy. However, it is not lobbyist friendly. There is no such thing as free healthcare. There are good ways to provide healthcare on a collective basis. None of those are even up for consideration. Nothing will get better as long as lobbyists write bills. Your representatives can actually write bills. They just don’t. Citizens can also write bills and have there representatives take them to the floor. The fact is that, they don’t and do not seem interested.

The Economy And Stock Market What To Expect

You will hear news about the trade war as well as new and improved ways  prevent  the economy from going into a depression. There will be news reports connecting an economic downturn to something that is happening the very day economic troubles become acknowledged. It will be blamed on some development in the trade war or some change in a Federal Reserve policy. It will be blamed on something the president said or did on a given day. It may even be blamed on immigration policy.  It will be blamed on something in the news for sure. Pay these things no mind.

Central economic planning is the cause of economic headwinds. Efforts to eliminate the business cycle may have been successful according to raw government statistics. Eliminating the business cycle and doing away with small recessions guarantees an eventual life changing depression. Why? Recessions are signals to producers that they have produced too much of  one thing and need to re-figure out what consumers are likely to to be more interested in buying.

This is never mentioned but at the bottom of the depression in the 1930s, prosperity in the United States was higher than any level of prosperity ever achieved in a command economy. For example, the old Soviet Union was completely successful in eliminating its business cycle. In being successful in doing that prosperity of any kind disappeared. Central economic planning in the United States will destroy life in the United States just as it did in the old Soviet Union. Ronald Reagan did not destroy the old Soviet Union. The old Soviet Union destroyed itself.

Central economic planning has always handicapped the U. S. economy. After passage of the Full Employment Act of 1978 Central Economic Planning was mandated and is now the law of the land.  Who gets what in the economy is now determined by who has political power and not by who has money to spend. With the acceleration of central economic planning, lobbying efforts have increased manifold. With central economic planning as the law of the land, government is now the go to place for strong financial interests to take advantage of the rest of societies members who have little political power.

The coming depression is a given. Count on it. It is going to happen. The economy is already rotting from the bottom up. The growing number of homeless is a clear sign.  Those with the least political power are the first to suffer. Whatever your level of prosperity, the misery is chasing you up the food chain ladder and you won’t be able to escape. When the economic rot at the bottom is pervasive enough, the top of the economy will collapse and there will me misery abound. The possible outcomes of chaos are not predictable. When the calamity hits, the public is highly likely to opt for more central. Intellectuals will seize the opportunity to profit from the pretense of knowledge and accommodate all who still have confidence in government economic solutions. Basically more of what has caused the difficulties will likely be used to try and remedy the problems. Just be ready because things are going to get very very bad.

The stock market is no longer a leading indicator. Stock prices are managed with organized support. The stock market now serves more like a judas goat.   Specially trained goats have been used as a means of gently enticing sheep to peacefully follow such goats to be slaughtered.  That is the function of the stock market today.

Right now the U.S. stock market market is at a critical juncture as are foreign stock Markets. All major indexes around the world are in in long term consolidation patterns. Any stock market that looks like it will break down below its consolidation pattern is going to get as much organized support as can be mustered up. The question we all must ask is, what are the limits of resources that can be used to elevate the stock market? That is why I am in cash as an alternative to shorting the market.

Some may remember my forecast from December of 2018.  Don’t Dismiss This Rally This was at a time when most others were convinced that a bear market had started and it had a long way to go. I knew right away that organized support had come in and would push the market higher than anyone was expecting. I am honestly not that good of a stock market analyst. I may be above average but I am not psychic for sure. What I am good at is discovering that non organic forces are distorting a market. That doesn’t happen that often but it is happening and has been the driving behind high stock prices. My work is based on natural and natural law never fails, at least it hasn’t failed yet.

For more insight as to how the stock market is being used, this is an earlier article clarifying that. The Horse The Economy Rides, The Stock Market

The Horse The Economy Rides

The Horse The Economy Rides PDF Version

The theory is that a controlled perpetual uptrend in stocks that is unshakable  will carry the economy with it. And, it has as long as folks are happy the upper one percent grows in prosperity while the rest of the country suffers  from shrinking real incomes. Yes, GDP which is quite malleable because there are so many wild cards used in its method of calculation, can be anything it needs to be in a given quarter. GDP cannot be managed statistically forever. Eventually the headwinds of reality make manipulating numbers impossible.

No, no president or anyone else has or ever will go on television and announce that government is guaranteeing ever rising stock prices for the good of the country. It is strange that citizens see government as where all of the voter’s fairy god mothers go to make life better for everyone. That is so untrue, it is comical. Realistically, Washington is a predators playground. All news is persuasion and Americans have no relevant information at all with respect to what is really going on. If your group, whatever it is, has no political power, every law that is passed and every government policy is going to hurt you, regardless of how good it sounds. A chain letter sounds good. Just buy a few chain letters and see how rich you get. Laws and government policy are of the same nature as that of a chain letters. The hope and expectations are one thing but the outcomes are not and never will be what is promised or expected.

How do I know the stock market is managed or allowed to be managed? I know this in a similar way to the way astronomers figured out that Pluto was out there but had not yet been seen. I know the stock market is managed higher because I see trading patterns that can only be created artificially. The most obvious is the constantly gaping up or down on the opening almost every single. The fact is that gaps in averages, historically have only occurred a few times a year and in some years not at all. Then it is almost certain any gap down will land in a basket and then there will be a, usually successful attempt, to ratchet prices higher for the rest of the day so as to close positive for the day. Going all the way back to Edwards and Magee, there is no other time in history where these trading patterns have ever occurred at all. Do yourself a favor and know that with respect to the stock market there are thumbs on the scale. These thumbs on the scales will not disappear.

A bear market will destroy those whose thumbs are on the scale. It takes massive political power to use the government as a tool for financial enrichment. That privilege will not be relinquished voluntarily. Don’t think the market will just drop because of natural forces. The efforts will continue until finally the Federal Reserve unapologetically  starts buying up supply so as to “save the country and the world.

There is a moral reasoning that goes into this. It goes something like this. “Hey I have a great idea. Lets create a perpetual bull market. We will get even richer ourselves but we will be doing everyone else a favor because everyone else in the economy will benefit also even if it is only a little. Our getting richer is also good for everyone else. They would not be better off at all if we didn’t. Aren’t we wonderful?  ” As silly as that sounds, that is really the kind of thinking that goes into these things. So, there really is a moral reason for doing these things. However, the moral reasoning seriously limps. It is about as good as justifying murdering someone and then feeling good about it because you only prevented that person from experiencing the suffering that goes along with living.

Don’t expect efforts to rig the stock market to disappear.

Deemed To Be True

The discipline of economics in the aggregate is fatally flawed because of a complete ignorance natural law. As intricate as economic theory is, it never has a chance of working as intended because it is flawed from the beginning. The most elaborate theories can be debunked in  a sentence or two by pointing out that influences at the most basic level are not even known about much less considered. If a cook uses salt in place of sugar in making an angel food cake, it is going to taste less and less like a cake as more and more salt is added. No cook is going to do this unless it is by accident. The world’s most esteemed economists do this and nothing else by using erroneous assumptions.  They do not recognize what the most basic influences are. Neither do the people who listen to them and hang on every word that comes out of their mouths. A quick look at the image below presents a clear picture of where aggregate economics is focused. The trunk of the tree illustrates where Fantasy Free Economics is focused.

I discard economic theory dogma because it guarantees bad outcomes. It is all based on math and the theories are all based on math. The basics of economics can’t be explained with numbers because the influences that cause numbers are not even acknowledged. That is because no number can explain a basic influence. Natural law accomplishes that.

I believe in math. I have even taught algebra II and pre-calculus. I am not a mathematician but math may be the most useful skill a student often learns. However, it is as dangerous to use math where it doesn’t apply as it is to to use dynamite to try and solve all of the worlds problems. Dynamite is wonderful also, provided it is used it the right way and for the right things.

I am going to use probably the most acknowledged natural law known for example. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.  Who disagrees? Someone might disagree but as of yet I have not encountered such a person. So what does mainstream economics do with that tidbit of truth? It deems it a platitude and ignores it. Doing this alone guarantees failure. All natural law, other than a few like the laws of supply and demand, are ignored.  More importantly natural law is not used. Even the laws of supply and demand are not mentioned or acknowledged as being natural law.

Buy accepting the power corrupts law it is easy to show that those in powerful positions are always more corrupt than the masses who give them power. When a person is given a position of power that person becomes more corrupt than he was the day before acquiring the position.  Society treats such people as peers, but they are no such thing. The indisputable truth is that the automatic corruption makes that impossible. Mainstream economics pretends that empowered folks are no different than any other of their brethren. All are assumed to be working tirelessly seeking to improve the lives of ordinary people. Yet, because they are more powerful than the rest of us, it is natural that they are more corrupt than the rest of us.

If you are interested in learning principles of basic natural law, I suggest finding Jordan Peterson’s Youtube Channel. He is a much better teacher of natural law than I am. No, I don’t know him. We have never met. One of my sons sent me a link to one of his lectures that begins with an explanation of his channel having been taken down by Youtube and eventually being reinstated. Knowing that, I was pretty sure he was teaching something profound and watched the whole two hour presentation. I am glad I did. He is an extraordinary teacher. Other than that I know nothing about him personally other than that he also comes across as a terrific psychologist which is his chosen academic specialty. My impression is that he is an honest man trying to share what he has learned with everyone else. I am going with that because I have no information to the contrary.

I studied the reasons why his channel was taken down. What he did is tell the truth about something and a few others were offended by what he said. He was punished under the provisions of the emerging unwritten law that new and different pronouns be used by people who wish that the use of these pronouns be required universally. What nonsense that is. It is human nature to call them as we see them. In 3000 years that may be different but in today’s world we are all defined in terms of how we appear to others in their minds. By statute, no one is required to say she, her, mam or sir. It might be our desire that everyone address us in a certain way but it is silly to even suggest requiring them to do so. They themselves are hurt by their efforts. Folks never consider how they are going to be spoken of behind their backs when they try to force others to respect them.

Advice for LGBT Efforts

Download PDF Version

This is not criticism of the goals of people in the LGBT movement. It really is advice and nothing more. It is human nature for all of us to try and elevate the perception others have of us. I have no way of knowing how and why certain people have different attributes. I am not foolish enough to proclaim that I know anything at all as to why one person turns out one way and someone else turns out another.

I debunk economic theories one after another, just by not assuming certain things are true. What is important is that LGBT people are here right now walking the earth. Trying to better their situation is what all people do. Who is comfortable denying someone else the opportunity to do what all others do freely?

Since the kind of work I do has no capacity to generate an income, I have no need to come up with a plausible explanation and sell it to the public. In terms of honesty, I consider myself about average in that respect. Unfortunately, the truth doesn’t sell. On balance  truth has a negative value in the market place. That means people are more prone to pay to avoid hearing it. I don’t avoid doing what I thoroughly enjoy doing just because I am not being paid. At least it is not an expensive non paying avocation. Others who are retired spend their time and money doing things like playing golf, restoring old cars  or fishing. I don’t do those things. I do this instead. The fact that I don’t have to make a living at it is a blessing all by itself.

Natural law imposes certain headwinds that work against people who are trying to improve their lives. One of these is the futility of trying to make positive changes based on changing other people. As far as I can tell there has never been a case in history where a collective effort to change other people has provided a positive outcome. Perhaps other people should change and that would be good for them as well as you. That can be true but unfortunately it is a technique that is guaranteed to fail.

Another problem is that human beings are defined by those who see them and not according to how folks who are being seen. That is not going to change. Nature does change but it takes thousands of years. This doesn’t mean your motives are wrong. It does mean that people are not going to change just because you insist they do. It is not a productive way to The truth is a hard sell. Fantasy Free Economics gains readers one at a time. Major search engines simply do not list blogs which disagree with their political agenda. Then there is the practice of creating unwritten laws. There is no statute that requires others to address you with chosen pronouns. However, there is an emerging unwritten law that these pronouns be used. The punishment for violating an unwritten law is more severe than than violating a statute of the same magnitude. What you are doing here is forcing others to accept you. Will they? No they won’t. They only comply with the unwritten law by complying with your wishes. If they hated you before, they will hate you even more when you force artificial respect out of them. What they previously said about you to your face they will be saying behind your back. You deny people the right to look at you and respond according to how you come across to them and you are doing to them something worse than what they are doing to you.

LGBT people are just one group of people who are not universally accept by society. Lots of people belong those kinds of groups. The LGBT’s are highly visible but there are many others which go unnoticed. Myself, I am a lifelong misfit. I don’t know if I was born this way or not. As a child, I did not believe in Santa Clause for even a minute. I did not play games or pretend. Never in my life have I ever been able to role play, Nor am I adept at “go along to get along.” Most of my life I wasted trying to fit in. I honestly feel LGBT people face stronger headwinds than I faced as a misfit. The point is there are people who can relate to the headwinds others face. Those are folks who have faced headwinds themselves, some lesser or greater. There are lots of them. You are not alone even though you feel alone.

Another good question is, what exactly is it that you are trying to fit into? Too often fitting in comes down to needing the approval of other people. It is a lot easier to give up the need for approval than it is to change other people or to become what others would have you
be instead of what you are.

In the end, if what you want something to happen now depends on human nature changing, it is not going to happen.

Imposing Freedom On Others

Sometime between the middle of the middle ages the beginning of the renaissance the idea of freedom for the individual began to emerge. Up to that point living under one variety of slavery or another was the system mankind existed under. On one of the stalwarts of mainstream economics is that all humans are freedom seeking entities. Simple observations show that that is not true. The truth is that each individual is born into the game of dominance and subservience. In the dominance and subservience game,  freedom  is like like an asset a person is born with.

The the concept of freedom for the individual actually began in Europe, mainly in England at least 100 years before the American. Any initiatives that began, started with the elite seeking advantages for themselves. When the Duke of Wellington returned to England following the Battle of Waterloo the commented that commoners were wandering around England needlessly. Of course they were drawn off of their feudal arrangement to work in factories. The commoners in England were not looking for freedom. They were looking for ways to survive more efficiently. Freedom was being sought by some who had the money and power to make productive use of freedom. Adam Smith wrote in the 1700s about the new discovery that people in a country where individuals make their own  economic decisions, total production increased very rapidly. This was the first major explanation of the free market system.

The colonies in North America were so sparsely populated and under populated that trade among individuals had already developed at the time of the revolution. There were no serves and no feudal system like there was in European countries.  Still, there was no movement by ordinary people to become free independent agents. Due to circumstance most were already free just because of circumstance. The American Revolution was not entered into as a means of making the lives of common people better. Hardly a soul knew about the conspiracy to separate from England. Soldiers joined the new United States fighting armies as a way to survive. Fighting for money was common in those days.

From the American Revolution provided everyone in the colonies with more freedom. That was not because of some kind of drive for freedom deep within their hearts. I can’t say they were were oblivious to the idea but it wasn’t a priority. When survival is difficult, freedom is not the priority. Survival is the focus. Life was so basic during the American Revolution that becoming free was never on the minds of the majority of the people who lived on the land.

What the American Revolution accomplished was to impose freedom on a population that was mostly oblivious to the effort.

Imposing Freedom On Others

Adam Smith is routinely referred to as the father of free market economic thought. Was Adam Smith also the father of conspiracy theory? If not, he certainly explained how natural the formation of conspiracies is a constant influence in economic issues.
“People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.”
Adam Smith, An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations
II the value of conspiracy theory was taught in school instead of portraying government as a like benevolent  parent, citizens might take their required role of reining in government more seriously.
When a doubt is raised as to the veracity of what is being told by official sources, the doubter is deemed a conspiracy theorist. The purpose of that is to dismiss the observation as conspiracy theory. The fact is that all of collective action is comprised of multitudes of layers of of conspiracies. Independent initiatives by single actors are minuscule in number and never successful. If a person is to understand the process of government or society in general, identifying conspiracies is absolutely necessary. Not focusing on identifying ongoing conspiracies guarantees failure of all attempts to make constructive changes.
The terms conspiracy theory and conspiracy theorist are used to protect a lie. I have never heard either used in any other way.

How To Knock Off A Conspiracy

Who is looking for conspiracies? Who is participating a conspiracy? Why that would be you and I. Are conspiracies illegal? Are all conspiracies secret? I suppose a conspiracy can be illegal. Plotting to overthrow the government outside of the democratic process is illegal. Conspiring to change the nature of government by using the democratic process is perfectly legal. It is also legal to be in a secret conspiracy provided its goals are legal. I can’t think of many conspiracies, secret or otherwise which are illegal. A huddle in a football game is a conspiracy. So is a PAC committee. Children conspire against their parents. Students conspire against teachers. One government conspires against another. People in government conspire against the citizens. The mob conspires against law enforcement and law enforcement conspires against crime. Well financed folks conspire as a way to bypass the law and override the legal system. That type of conspiracy is highly common and certainly is illegal. These kinds of conspiracies must be identified and addressed. As a prolific conspiracy theorist, knocking off those kinds of conspiracies, is my role.

Only a few conspiracies are born in the imagination. Most of those can be counted on one hand. The fake moon landing is clearly one of those. The truth is that behavior in the aggregate is conspiracy based. To accomplish anything at the aggregate level requires organizing into competitive conspiracies. I identify those kinds of conspiracies. I have no interest in making conspiring illegal or even limiting or regulating conspiracy based government action. Forbidding citizens from working together in conspiracies would be as hard as convincing lions and tigers not to hunt. Conspiracy based behavior is a normal part of human nature.  That won’t change anytime soon. It takes thousands of years to change human nature, so don’t expect it to be different anytime soon.

Given that, how do we knock off a conspiracy? Where is a conspiracy needed? Is there more than one that is seeking the same or similar outcome? Are there institutions seeking to save themselves? Who would benefit by conspiring with others who have the same or similar aspirations? Finding those situations is not hard at all. At higher levels, if two different entities are seeking a common outcome, there is close to a certainty they will find each other and begin working together.

Before Pluto was discovered in the twentieth century, scientists noticed changes in the orbits of planets that could only be explained by assuming the existence of another planet that had not yet been discovered. Bizarre changes in human behavior along with the occurrence of highly unlikely events as much as guarantees a conspiracy is in operation.

This is the case with respect to the Epstein arrest and following events. There is in fact a conspiracy to save persons with enough political power from consequences from having participated in fun an frolic with under aged girls at Pedo island. There is no chance there would not a conspiracy emerge involving various important people with the need to save themselves. When it comes to saving oneself even people who hate one another, will work with one another. You can expect it. The Epstein situation, is a poster child for the incentive for a conspiracy to form.

Who are the potential beneficiaries of an Epstein conspiracy? Well, who visited the island? Who visited the island on multiple occasions? Who has enough power, money, and stature to offer something of value to the general conspiracy? Is it the case that someone’s life will be completely destroyed if identified as a pedophile? What choice do they have other than to engage in a coverup?

Here is my current assessment of the ongoing Epstein coverup.

Donald Trump: The president needs to win in 2020.  He was being bashed in the media relentlessly. The Deep State has been constant in trying to discredit him and remove him from office without an election.

Who is in danger of being exposed as having done illegal things on Pedo Island? Who has something to offer in the spirit of cooperation? There is a long list of important people, not the least of which is a member of the Royal Family. Would Donald Trump and the Royal family find each other? Certainly they would.

How many important Democrats and Republicans are in danger of exposure? Who is on the list.

How many in the Deep State network are vulnerable? Who is on the list?

How about the Republican and Democratic Parties? Who is on the list?

Donald Trump is the quintessential deal maker and he has a creative mind. Donald Trump initiates the deal. What does he get? He gets the media dog called off and the Deep State stops trying to sabotage his presidency. You may or may not have noticed that the media softened its approach with respect to Trump beginning the day Epstein was arrested. As it is now, following Epstein’s death, media coverage of Trump is at a very low soft plateau. That has never been the case before.

So, what do the other parties to Trump’s deal get out of it? Trump launches a long drawn out investigation to nowhere and  guarantees, certain of the anointed safety from exposure. Who is part of the deal? Who would be destroyed without it? Who has the power, and influence necessary resources to offer value to the conspiracy by virtue of their participation?  Limit the choices people have down to one option and they will take it, especially if not participating guarantees their destruction.

When there is only one way out, that is the path that will be taken. So far the situation is unfolding exactly as I would expect a conspiracy to unfold. Are the Epstein investigations anywhere in the news? Is the media bashing Trump with the same intensity it did previously? Is the public shifting its attention toward other news and forgetting about the Epstein saga?

The Role Of Conspiracy Theory

Adam Smith is routinely referred to as the father of free market economic thought. Was Adam Smith also the father of conspiracy theory? If not, he certainly explained how natural the formation of conspiracies is a constant influence in economic issues.
“People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.”
