Capitalism & Free Market Clarification in PDF
Capitalism, in common usage generally means free market system, although capitalism can have non-free market aspects.
Capitalism is routinely cited as the cause of the wealth gap, poverty, crime and God knows what else. Capitalism, free market system, cannot cause the kind of problems attributed to it. Problems are created when it is corrupted.
As you may already know, that with the fantasy free theory of economics, we disregard the official definition of persons and things and study all entities in terms of how they function. Once capitalism is corrupted, it is no longer capitalism, even though that is what folks call it.
So, the problem is not capitalism. The concentration of power destroys capitalism. Calling it capitalism does not make it capitalism. We have a system of top down socialism where all benefits go to the top. This situation must be remedied by decentralizing power and re-instituting principles of democracy. Plans to apply tariffs and expand the boundaries of the United States of America will further concentrate power and diminish our economic system even more than it already is.
An economy is not like a hometown football team that all citizens root for. So, in terms of GDP, how do you think it will effect your bottom line, if China surpasses the U.S. in total output? As an ordinary citizen, chances are better that you will be better off it it turns out that way. Economics is not a team sport. It is every man for himself, everyday, all day. Globally, economies are so intertwined that there actually is no way to support the home team.
To say, American corporations, is folly. They are global entities, plain and simple. Economics, overall is a purely mercenary pursuit. Play the game any other way and you are a sucker being used as a resource. You are promoting your own poverty,
