Folks who are conservatives on the outside are liberals on the inside. It comes down to a lack of trust in the free market concept. The temptation to use government as a tool for personal gain is too great. Conservatives with enough power to make a difference turned to fascism out of self interest. In a true free market system government administers justice and prevents that from happening. It will take decades for Americans to accept what has actually happened. The initial observation will be that capitalism failed. Years later it will be acknowledged that capitalism wasn’t used.

Do not blame the rich for acting out of self interest. That is what human beings do. The poor and the middle class do the same. They are just not adept at getting what they want out of government. It is lack of trust in the free market system that killed the U.S. economy.
